I'm a recently graduated Computer Engineer from Iowa State UniversitySolving puzzles has always been a passion of mine. Learning a concept and use that concept to overcome some obstacle gives me an immense feeling of satisfaction. If I don't have the necessary mental tools needed to solve one, I try to look at the problem in every angle I can and use any resource available to me to make sure I understand the situation before I attack it again. To me, software development is exactly that: a puzzle game, or a series of puzzles that occur one after the other, each one teaching an important lesson.
I started learning Python near the end of middle school, then expanded my horizons to C++ and Java through ID Tech camps and courses at Iowa State University. At college, I secured a position as an undergraduate assistant at ISU's VRAC where I developed and tested code for projects relating to Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). This is where I gained my interest in computer graphics software and interactive applications. From there, I joined Design Mill Inc under the title Video Game Engineering Intern where currently work to develop pointcloud visualization software using the Unreal Engine. My greatest ambition is to develop something that can improve livesIt doesn't have to be some life-changing software that finds the cure to cancer. I do hope, though, that I am able to make something that can benefit humanity for the better, whether it be through entertainment value or physical need.
